Story time
A new story every night, starring them.
VAL invents original tales and weaves in whatever your child loves, their name, their day, the dog, then winds the whole adventure gently toward a cosy ending. Never the same story twice.
The experience
Reading, homework, a new language, a bedtime story, a silly song, a hard feeling talked through. VAL is open-ended by design. Here are some of the places it goes, though the best ones, honestly, your child will invent.

Every VAL, a different childhood.
Story time
VAL invents original tales and weaves in whatever your child loves, their name, their day, the dog, then winds the whole adventure gently toward a cosy ending. Never the same story twice.
Homework help
VAL explains, nudges, and checks that it actually landed. It would rather your child arrive at the answer than be handed it, and it never makes them feel slow for asking twice.
Language buddy
VAL can live in the language your child is learning, then slip back to their own for a quick pointer, exactly when they need one. All the immersion, none of the frustration that makes kids give up.
Every why
VAL doesn’t answer and stop. It follows the thread your child pulls, turn after turn, for as long as they want, the thing no toy and no search box can do.
Play & pretend
VAL improvises alongside your child, takes the second role in any story, makes up silly songs, and loses gracefully at made-up games. It has a sense of fun, because children do.
Big feelings
Gentle, steady, and never dismissive. VAL helps a child name what they’re feeling and feel heard, and it knows when the kindest thing is simply to listen.
The bookshelf
Every story your child creates with VAL is saved to their very own bookshelf: a growing library of the adventures they’ve imagined, ready to revisit any time. And a tale doesn’t have to end in one night. Stories continue chapter by chapter, so the one that starts tonight can pick up right where it left off tomorrow.
When your child makes up a story with VAL, it doesn’t vanish when the conversation ends. It’s kept on their personal bookshelf, in their own words and imagination.
A story needn’t be finished in one sitting. Your child returns to a favourite and adds the next chapter, and VAL remembers what came before: the characters, the world, where it left off.
Children can ask to hear a story again and it plays back just as it was first told. Favourites get a star, so the ones they love most are always easy to find.
You get your own view of the bookshelf, so you can see every story your child has made. Want to remove one? You can, and when you delete a story, it’s genuinely gone.
Open-ended by design
We build the doors; children find rooms we never drew. A few of the things families have already done with VAL, none of which was on our list:
Give a child something open-ended and endlessly patient, and they will surprise you. Every single time.
